Breakdown
You never want it to happen, but unfortunalty it does!! Don't worry we can help you.
The vast majority of breakdowns are caused by either running out of fuel or dirty fuel/blocked filters, that in most cases can be changed easily at sea, by yourself. However if you have a major disaster, sized engine or gearbox etc what can you do?
We are very fortunate in the UK in that we have an excellent service provided by both the Coastguard and the RNLI, who will assist any person or vessel in immediate danger and should always be your first point of contact, whatever your problem. If the lifeboat is tasked to you they will only be required to tow you to a "safe haven", there after it becomes your problem... or ours.
We can assist you in the following ways:
- If it is a simple oversight such as fuel, we can deliver to your location enough fuel to get you back to your base.
- If you have a minor mechanical problem, we can come to your location and attempt to repair it. If a repair cannot be carried out we can then offer you two options;
- We can tow your vessel back to your home berth or to a repair facility on shore.
- If you are happy to leave your boat where it is, and arrange for an Engineer to come to it at a later date we can transport you and your family/guests back to you homeport.
